Beans from Bean Town

 Planted seeds in May. Bean pods in July.

Took about 5 days for the bean seedlings to emerge. They struggled to grow further for a few weeks, then suddenly appeared to flourish. By month-2 needed a trellis to support the vines. Pale white flowers by month-3. The 3 plants yielded about 15 decent sized pods and many more anaemic looking ones. Re-planted the seeds from the sickly looking pods back into the grow bags. 

The trellis poles are from HayGirl's play tent from when she was a baby. A bit of re-use but unfortunately, not exactly totally eco-friendly since they are made from plastic / fibre (the grow-bag isn't bio-degradable either, I think). Will try to to construct future trellis structures with fallen branches / twigs from Haystack's sole mango tree.
